I have new work in BLAST: Spaceship Sketches and Renderings the latest Design Studio Press opus featuring the work of Scott Robertson, Annis Naeem and Danny Gardner. It was great fun to jam on a project with few design limitations and a solid crew. I seized the opportunity to do some genre mashups, one of which was selected for Spectrum 19.
iO9.com and Space.com are covering my retro-future take on the Playboy Club in Space. The work ran as a 6-page feature in the March 2012 issue of Playboy. Playboy teamed up with Virgin Galactic's lead designer to envision an orbiting entertainment venue of out-of-this-world design. A big thanks to Cody Tilson for excellent Art Direction and design.
I bid farewell this Summer to my friends at Id Software. Last week I concluded three years of visual development for the next installment of Doom. I leave the environment design helm of Doom to the talented artists at Id and head back to Pacific waters for new adventures.
